Dave is also an ordained minister and can perform your ceremonies on location without a lot of prenuptial counseling ... all you bring is your marriage license for him to sign after the ceremony! You can discuss your particular ceremony desires with him at the initial consultation and finalize the ceremony plans at your final meeting. Dave includes rehearsals at a nominal charge, based on availability. As every reception is different, so is every ceremony. Some brides-to-be and their fiances enjoy the "short and sweet" timeline, which encompasses the processional on piano [or recorded music if you like]; a greeting with prayer, the vows and ring exchanges, followed by the benediction and pronouncement of the bride and groom and a musical recessional on piano [or recorded music if you like]. Other brides want something a little more detailed, which could include a unity candle or sand pouring ceremony, gospel readings and vocal numbers by guests vocalists and the taking of communion by the bride, groom and their guests and a spiritual baptism if desired (see below for details**). Dave has been involved in his "ministry" since 1977, after spending virtually three years in a spiritual ministry with an Ohio-based Biblical research and teaching institute preceded by two years attending a Lutheran academy. Dave will provide the recipient with the necessary list of items to go over and then counsel that person on portions of the Book of Acts and Corinthians and the finalization of Christ's work on earth and the resulting outpouring of the Holy Spirit (pneuma hagion in Latin) on the day known in modern times as Pentecost. The baptism ceremony can be included in the wedding service or performed in a separate service based on availability. Dave makes every effort to help the newly-borne in Christ understand their role in the Church (ekklesia, in the Greek text) prior to the ceremony. The end result should be an individual outpouring of the Holy Spirit that will change that person's life forever, evidenced by tongues just as in the Book of Acts. The shortened version baptism ceremony lasts about 10 minutes, depending on the number of people being baptized (5 minutes for a bride and groom). The longer version, which can be done in a larger group of people other than a ceremony, can last up to 30 minutes. Again, it all depends on the needs of the recipient. On a more creative
note, Dave can also perform the ceremony attired as Austin Powers. The
voice used in the ceremony will be that of "Austin" and the short and
sweet ceremony will include audience participation [Yeah Baby!].
